Sturdy slippers for taking dog out?

Boopboopb · 16/09/2018 13:00

Dog is still toilet training so need something to keep at the front door to just slip on to go in and out.

Won't be wearing them in house, just for poops trips.

Any ideas?

Crocs. They do many varieties, including slippers, non-holey versions, wellies, the lot.

Easynow · 16/09/2018 13:18

Flip flops.

Boopboopb · 16/09/2018 13:23

Easy flip flops will be awful in winter! She takes FOREVER to pee

I have a pair of slip-on Skechers by the back door for taking our oldie out or nipping to the bins, but they might not be much good in the wet.

Dalesgirl16 · 16/09/2018 18:16

Also have their version of crocs for £3.99. I bought m be a couple of months ago though so need to check they still have them. I use them to go out in the garden

Dalesgirl16 · 16/09/2018 18:17

Aldi, not Also

didyouseetheflaresinthesky · 16/09/2018 18:19

I have a pair of slip on skechers too and wear them to take the dog out.

fruitpastille · 16/09/2018 18:21

Tk maxx have some sheepskin ugg style boots that I use as slippers but have a sturdy sole.

Srilli · 16/09/2018 18:22

Check out mahabis they have removable soles x

mastertomsmum · 16/09/2018 18:23

Haflingers but maybe too nice if the dog is unreliable

totallyliterally · 16/09/2018 18:24

If you've a wilkos or garden centre locally they do similar to first posted but with no holes for under a tenner. We have a pair for taking dog into garden

Nacreous · 16/09/2018 18:24

Not going to win style awards for sure but some of my rellies have “garden shoes” or “garden clogs”. I personally just use wellies. They seem to start at about £8 but you can buy fancy ones too.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2018 18:25

I bought cheap “ugg” type boots from Primark as “outdoor slippers”.

Murinae · 16/09/2018 18:26

Crocs blitzen. No holes and washable fluffy lining. I love mine.

SoupDragon · 16/09/2018 18:27

I also have a pair of slip on trainers from Primark that work well with the the backs trodden down so they’re like mules.

ProfYaffle · 16/09/2018 18:29

Dh and I both have garden shoes/clogs by the back door, bit like this. There's even a brand called Back Door Shoes!

Fleece lined Crocs. Heaven.

You could try Homeys- usually in schuh.
