I’ve bought myself a birthday present of a microdermabrasion machine. It’s the one by Trophy skin, think it’s called Microderm md (diamond tip).
It’s got generally good reviews (compared to other machines), and I’m hopeful that with regular use it’ll improve both the oily bits (deep set blackheads) and dry wrinkly bits (cheeks & forehead) of my middle-aged face. I’ve had professional microdermabrasion done a few times, and I’m assuming this DIY machine will be similar, maybe 60-70% as effective?
I can’t find much info on what to use directly after a session on my skin? And then what next, given the mega-exfoliation should encourage product to work better, right? I assume some kind of gentle toner (witchazel or skII?) and then a serum? I don’t have sensitive skin, but I’m a bit nervous of putting anything too strong on ‘fresh skin’ and ending up with a reaction.
Anyone more expert got any tips? Or save me from scaring the kids with a too-early-for-Halloween-botch-job? Any experiences with home microdermabrasion welcome also (fingers crossed I haven’t been a sucker!).
