Teeth Whitening Kits

Any recommendations?

I have darkening teeth due to tea drinking, and being a ex smoker.

I brush twice daily with sensitive, whitening tooth paste - so I'd be looking for something for sensative teeth.

Any teeth whitening kit you can legally buy in the UK is not going to contain a strong enough level of hydrogen peroxide to do much in terms of whitening your teeth.

Only dentists and other dental professionals (eg hygienists) are legally allowed to use whitening products that are strong enough to actually whiten your teeth safely.

Echoing the above poster, it’s actual illegal for beauty salons to offer teeth whitening so steer well clear. There have been horrible cases of people who have had their teeth whitened by untrained individuals and have been left with burns to their mouth, very sensitive gums etc because the person carrying out the treatment wasn’t qualified to assess whether the person was a suitable candidate for having their teeth whitened, nor trained in using the whitening products.

So if you’re keen to get your teeth whitened then I would see your dentist. Much more expensive than a home kit, I know, but much safer and more effective.

I went to my dentist and got the gum shield made with an overnight gel. My teeth are so nicely white! And the good thing is you can choose when to stop doing it before they get too white IYSWIM. Dentist recommended every night for 2 weeks but I just did one week and still they look great (IMO) even though I haven't whitened them since maybe February?
Have attached a grinny pic for you lol

How much was that?

Mine was on offer, gum shield/teeth tray thing and four vials of gel for £200. It's 16% carbamide peroxide gel
