How would you style this?

I have bought this (vintage 1950s) suit online. It's precisely my style so hoping to get lots of use out of it but was wondering: how would you style it? 1) for work (probably not for your average day wear unless am feeling very fancy, but could see myself wearing it if giving a talk at a conference/on a stage) and 2) for a winter wedding?

As it's quite dramatic, am thinking I probably need to keep everything else pared back. Perhaps a slash of red lipstick?

Simple earrings. Pearls if you want to be classic. Very sheer black tights and a patent leather 3 inch heel. Definitely red lips!

Think will need to wear hair up too, especially as it's the kind of collar you can stand up - and I fully intend to make the most of it

For a winter wedding, I was thinking a chignon and a wide black platter/pinwheel hat. Or too dull/funereal?
