Sally Hanson, vinylux, OPI... etc. Which is the best?

I tend to stick to OPI or Nails Inc Gel Effect polishes as they come in a good range of colour, don't stain too much and last well, I do always use Sally Hansen Insta-dri on top though but never a base coat.

Kiko is good 😊

I rate Essie nail polishes.
It gives a good finish and long lasting too.
I like the wider brush so it makes it easier to apply.

Vinylux stained my nails and I wasn't particularly impressed with the longevity. Essie lasted longer than the vinylux.

Anyone tried Butter London?

GreyHare · 14/09/2018 15:12

@70, I tried it years ago and was meh about it but it was only colour, but I found it thin and watery and it chipped badly.

EdinaMonsoon · 14/09/2018 15:58

Essie are great. Very smooth finish - even on my ridged nails - and long-lasting. I particularly like their "Good to Go" fast-drying topcoat.

Essie fan here too.

My local supermarket does an excellent copycat range too, for half the price Grin (not UK)

HappyEverIftar · 14/09/2018 17:58

70 I had a couple of butter nail polishes, I didn't like them. The colour didn't take and smelt really strong. I think Essie etc do as good/better job.

Maybelline! They last for days. Amazing nail varnish

MotherofPearl · 14/09/2018 19:24

I like Marvala a lot. Those little bottles don't have time to go dry or gloopy before you use them up.

I am amazed by the quality of Primark One Coat. I liked some of the colours and thought I'd give it a go. OK, I use two coats to get the level of coverage I like but as I say at 90p a bottle I'm certainly not complaining.

Revlon, use the top coat with it, good for 7 days
