Advice for DH's eyebrows - they've gone crazy

DH has big bushy eyebrows. As he ages they are growing even more luxuriant - think Denis Healey. One of the hairs is so long it is now poking him in the eye. I suspect that we aren't far off the weight of them resting on his glasses.

We both think he needs to do something to tame them, perhaps some sort of trim. However the risk of getting it wrong and accidentally removing his eyebrows has deterred any action so far.

Can anyone advise on what he can safely do without looking ridiculous?

He isn't one for a beauty regime, so we're not aiming for style or beauty, but he does cut his own hair and beard, so may have the necessary kit.

A barber may well do them for him, it’s be easier to keep them shaped himself after that. I’m not sure they’d do eyebrows on their own tho Wink Alternatively you can get hair trimmers with specific eyebrow attachments so it’s not too risky.

Dh has always had this problem.
Being blessed with beautiful long thick eyelashes means he has spent years getting them tangled.
Barber. It is the only solution. Far better than any diy job. And much cheaper than a beautician.
Wonder if they'd do mine.....Hmm

Trim the sticky out ones with scissors, you and then comb up or down and snip the ends off into a line where they are too long or curling. Pluck any stragglers which are well outside the main line of the eye brow. Good luck!

I trim my DH's eyebrows. He has this annoying problem of having thick, lustrous healthy hair. His hair is loads prettier than mine.

Comb the hair up the way and trim the longest hairs. You can find videos on YouTube showing you.

DH trims his own. get them sticky with soap and have the hairs point upward towards the scalp (top of the head) then using nice sharp tiny scissors (old embroiderer scissors are used here) you trim the long strands using the natural arch of the eyebrows to guide you.
very simple...

Perfect - the video looks very achievable. We are now arguing about whether DH can do it or I need to. I really want to have a go.

I cut my OH's hair with clippers and do his eyebrows at the same time - just cut them over a comb.

I also comb and trim with scissors and snip at DH's ear hair
