Hi we're going to a 40th on Friday. It's one of my husband's colleagues and it's in a nice pub and there's a sit down meal and drinks but the invitation was word of mouth so not much more detail. I have asked DH what the dress code is and he's pretty useless at finding things like this out but said he is planning on wearing jeans and a smart open neck shirt so it sounds smart casual. I would like to wear a dress but probably not a party dress - more like a smart casual dress if DH is wearing jeans and a shirt. Has anyone seen any nice dresses in the shops recently that might fit the bill as I don't have anything suitable. Please could you lovely mumsnetters suggest some not too dressy dresses for me. I'm medium height and size 8/10. Thanks in advance!
