Sorry - that wasn’t meant snarkily. I only know because I’ve been studying them closely; as a result my new North Face arrives tomorrow!

I’ve worn my Seasalt Long Seafolly all through winter (Southern hemisphere dweller here) and it’s pretty good. It comes in an extra long length now too.

I got a Roman Originals parka similar to this one via eBay last year. It's lovely and warm but not too warm, IYSWIM. If I'm out walking you tend to warm up after a few minutes so this was perfect.

If you want a super warm coat, my RAB is still going strong after about 20 years. I just send it off to clean every now and again.
