Help me find the holy grail... wide calf boots

Shoes are always an issue for me but with some searching I can often find decent size 9s or generous size 8s. Boots are a nightmare!! I am after knee length, leather boots with a slightly more generous calf width than average. I have looked at Duo Boots but they are a little pricey for me right now.

Anyone have any alternatives? Which high street brands have slightly wider calf fittings?

There are some, um, 'niche' shoe sellers online which will do the sizes you are looking for at quite low prices. They will sell to anyone of course, and you don't have to show people the label! Smile

I got some last year from simply b as needed the extra room and they fit well even with skinny jeans

Duo?

They specialise in wide calf so might be worth a look?

I am on the look out too!

I had a great pair from Clarks a few years ago but haven't seen their current stock.

Evans? I’ve had them from there before.

I bought the Katie style in black leather from SimplyBe the other week and it fits great. I got the extra wide with curvy calf. I'm normally just wide in Clarke's.

Phoebmac, the Sainsbury's boots are great, thank you for the link.

Im about to order some through simply b. Im obese and bigger than clarks wide...

I have these pleather ones from Next.
The pleatheriness means they are stretchier than leather to accommodate my chunky calves.
I have been lucky with M&S and Fly London in the past for proper leather boots. But not in enough funds at the moment to justify leather, and am happy with the Next ones....
