skirt, what would you wear with it, and what colour tights? Would black suede block heeled ankle boots be ok? What jacket? I really want to buy it, but have no idea how I would wear it.

I'd wear it like this but its not the easiest colour to style, especially in winter.

I like it for winter, it's a nice pop of colour. I'd go for grey, navy or plum with it.

Thanks! I was thinking that if I wear black suede ankle boots, I could wear black opaques, or would that look too heavy against the pink?

LuluBellaBlue · 10/09/2018 13:05

I think black would be too heavy

Queenofmyownheart · 10/09/2018 13:07

Grey ankle boots would look better IMO

rightknockered · 10/09/2018 13:08

Think so too. Black sheer tights, or maybe lighter denier opaques?

Agree with Lulu that black would be too heavy. Grey or navy would work though. Lovely skirt, but I sometimes think when model is styled with bare legs it’s because even the professionals can’t think how to get it to work for actual winter Grin

I don't have grey ankle boots. I have brown brogue lace up ankle boots, DM's, red suede ankle boots, black ankle boots, dark red croc ankle boots..

I don't know, I think with all black everything else it might look nice. I'm thinking maybe a black leather biker jacket on top, maybe?

You'd have to experiment, I think. It's the sort of thing that might work or might look too heavy... tricky!

GeorgeTheHippo · 10/09/2018 13:15

Don't buy it. It's impossible to style and will stay in the wardrobe.

Tessellated · 10/09/2018 13:35

I don't think it's hard to style at all. I'd wear it with black tights (not totally opaque, probably 40-60 denier), black/grey/beige boots. Then on top I'd wear something in black, grey, white, cream, burgundy, pale blue, purple/lilac or maybe even bottle green. Navy would also be nice with navy tights.

Actually I don't think even opaque black tights would be too "heavy". Sure it's a pale colour but it's a cord skirt - a heavy winter fabric! I wouldn't wear a chiffon pink skirt with opaque tights but I think cord is fine, regardless of colour.

SuperstarDJ · 10/09/2018 13:53

It’s a winter skirt but more awkward to style because of the pale ‘summer’ colour. I’d keep looking for a similar skirt but in a more plum or deeper pink colour if I were you.

Ok, I went and tried it on today, took a pair of sheer tights with me, and it looked quite nice. Black sheer tights seemed to be fine because of the darker buttons, and with a neutral plain top, and black boots think it will work. So bought it and looking forward to wearing. Because of the corduroy fabric, black tights seem fine, so thanks for all the replies. It's a lovely colour by the way, goes with so much
