Non-sticky hair wax

I appreciate this might be a bit of a contradiction, but I'm looking for a hair wax that doesn't leave my hair or hands too sticky. I have short hair and a new style which needs a bit of styling after washing. This is a bit of a shock to me as for years I've just washed, towel-dried, and brushed it and that's been it. My hairdresser used wax and it looked great, and I can't re-create the look.

I use shockwaves gel wax - it's a nice mix between the too and easy to style. You do need to rinse of your hands afterwards though. BTW it's in the men's section of Boots!
