In regular clothes I'm a 14/16 but my shoulders are broad and arms log so I struggle with coats but Maxmara (pricey but bargains on eBay) are generously cut. Go for the buttoned rather than the belted.

It depends.

I have a sea salt waterproof with a warm, removable liner. But if I know it's unlikely to rain, I'll wear a fleece blazer (with hat, scarf and gloves) as I'm just as warm in that.

iv been eyeing up a sea salt @miketv are they worth it.
will Google.maxmara, I'd never heard of them before

I think they're worth it - I bought in the sale, but been very happy with it.

I've got a M&S black wool coat for work ( Wool Blend Double Breasted Coat on their website, it comes in black and camel)

Dark green Joules Brodie Parka (padded and with a faux fur trimmed hood)
Yellow Joules Coast rain proof jacket (I think the colour is called Antique Gold) I know this isn't for everyone but I love it for really rainy weekends

I am really coveting a leopard print coat but have yet to find one that I really like and looks good on me.

I have a windproof fleece and man's waterproof ( long arms) a Barbour trench but it's a bit tight on the upper arm and a short Country Casuals car coat. The last probably looks best but I wear the fleece most as it's the most comfortable

A Seasalt for rainy dog walking and a knee length leopard print from Next.
