Shoe dilemma

Soooo, if I buy a pair of shoes that have been reduced from £245 to £135 and I wear said shoes five days a week, 30 weeks of the year for four years (meaning that they cost 40p a day), that is truly bargainous isn't it?

Err, you've also saved yourself £110. Question is, what are you going to spend that on?

MoltonSilver · 09/09/2018 19:56

I like your thinking Barney.

Trumpet, with value like that you'd be foolish not to buy them Grin

LunaTheCat · 09/09/2018 20:09

Cost per wear is a very important consideration.
Just bought a very expensive coat but am expecting to wear for 10 years!

trumpetoftheswan · 09/09/2018 21:01

Good point barney.

Bargainous!

Snog · 09/09/2018 21:03

Pic?

BikeRunSki · 09/09/2018 21:26

Actually 20p a wear if you wear them next year too. You’d never get that longevity from supermarket cheapies. Think of the landfill space you’ve saved. It’s all about waste reduction.

Maybethistime8 · 09/09/2018 21:29

We need to see the shoes!

Hoppinggreen · 09/09/2018 21:29

Paying for them selves I would say

DontCallMeCharlotte · 09/09/2018 22:34

Actually 20p a wear if you wear them next year too.

If you need any more convincing that's only 10p each per wear. Do it.

trumpetoftheswan · 10/09/2018 19:39

It's these. www.thenaturalshoestore.com/women/shoes/thierry-rabotin-1852m97-001-nero.html

They're not even that exciting but, as someone who cycles and is heading towards 50, I've worn every type of flattish, sensible yet vaguely stylish shoes known to woman kind! I've been in an El Naturalista rut for some time, and fancy something a bit less round toed.

Yes, and 40p per wear was too much. They're getting cheaper by the minute!

I am late 40s, cycle and walk a lot and don’t wear heels, but OP, those are dreadful. I’m sure they are extremely comfy, but they are truly fugly.

Lauren0rder · 10/09/2018 20:31

Agreed

Truly awful.

Racecardriver · 10/09/2018 20:32

I 23 and think they are very stylish. Wouldn't look out of place in a cos store. But will they actually lay that long? Have you factored in reheeling them?

trumpetoftheswan · 10/09/2018 20:42

I haven't seen them in the flesh, but I veer towards thinking they're stylish rather than dreadful, fugly or awful, but obviously people have different tastes.

I'm going to order them and see what they're like close up.

Those are fab. Buy two pairs, shoes last a lot longer if you don't wear them every day. Gives them time to breath (this is why I have almost 40 pairs of shoes Wink).

trumpetoftheswan · 10/09/2018 21:34

I've ordered them now and will report back. I like the shape but not sure about the line running between the sole and upper.
