Is it reasonable to lose one or two eyelashes when removing mascara

I've recently started using mascara on a regular basis. One or two coats. I've tried a dedicated remover but have found that coconut oil takes the mascara off just as well.

However, whatever I use, and I am always gentle and avoid overwiping, I always lose at least one lash, sometimes two. Is this to be expected?

I've never noticed it happen.
It is a waterproof mascara? They can be difficult to remove.

I've used a little waterproof or smudgeproof mascara for years and years. We lose eyelashes every day just as we do other hair so it isn't uncommon to sometimes find a couple on the cotton wool when removing mascara. You're not going eye bald so don't worry.

It is waterproof but it comes off reasonably easily with coconut oil and a cotton bud or cotton pad wipe.

Thanks, @Rebecca. Don't want to end up eyelash bald, with three beautifully mascaraed remaining eyelashes :)

I meant to add that I've only recently changed to waterproof, but the same was happening with my old non-waterproof.
