These biker boots - Yay or Nay?

Bought these for the winter, for general casual wear, bringing the dog for a walk etc.

I've given many a laugh with my previous choices (will never live down the nun's green sandals from the summer) so would appreciate your opinions!

Thank you GrinGin

Oooh where are they from? I like them very much

Crispmonster1 · 08/09/2018 20:45

They look lovely

dun1urkin · 08/09/2018 20:46

Are they the Ugg ones with a W? I can’t remember the name. If they are, I have them. Super comfy for crispy walks along the canal etc. I’m looking forward to getting them back out now 😀

AmabelleOnabike · 08/09/2018 20:47

Very nice and wearable!

BikeRunSki · 08/09/2018 20:51

They are much nicer than the green nun sandals! They are fine.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 08/09/2018 20:54

Oh phew! (So far Smile) Thank you.

They're from M&S (Insolia I'll have you know). Does that banish them to Frumpsville on a one-way ticket?

Had my eye on other boots which were too expensive tbh and liked the look of these when I saw them so was hoping they'd be a good compromise.

Like them

MrsMozart · 08/09/2018 21:30

I like Smile

KitchenDancefloor · 08/09/2018 21:33

Very nice, and a good dupe of the UGG ones mentioned up thread (which I also have after a MN recommendation.)

AnnabelleLecter · 08/09/2018 21:33

They're fine.
Definitely not nunsy.

BifsWif · 08/09/2018 21:34

Oooh I love them!

Fstar · 08/09/2018 21:34

Love them and that style

MissVanjie · 08/09/2018 21:35

They’re really nice, they’re similar to Frye ones. Two Paul McCartney thumbs up from me.

Loyaultemelie · 08/09/2018 23:02

Love those. I was drooling over a pair really similar but couldn't justify £120. Might head to Marksies!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 08/09/2018 23:15

I know what you mean. I was lusting after a pair that would have cost the most I had ever spent on boots. These will do nicely unless I suddenly come into money.

I'm stunned at how much Docs cost. Love them too but if anyone of a certain vintage from Dublin is reading I used to get mine from Peggy's at the back of the Ilac Centre - cheap and cheerful Grin The 21st century (non knock off) prices are shocking Grin

They look very similar to a pair of Jimmy Choo biker boots that I have had for years (think the style is called Youth). Can’t believe they’re M&S! Definitely keep them.

thenightsky · 08/09/2018 23:16

Love!

Badtasteflump · 08/09/2018 23:17

I love a biker boot and those ones are fab. Ankle boots don't work with my skinny calves but biker boots really suit me - I may have to copy you.

Bugjune · 08/09/2018 23:54

I want to see the green nun's shoes, am intrigued...

ferrier · 09/09/2018 00:00

They look a bit plain to me but that's just a taste thing.

Magicstar1 · 09/09/2018 00:32

Ooh they’re lovely OP!

I used to get my Docs from Peggy’s too...a long time ago. I got a pair last Christmas and crippled myself in them by walking around town - I haven’t put them on since Blush

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 09/09/2018 00:41

High Fives Magicstar1

Used to love my Crepe Soles (or Brothel Creepers as DM used to call them) from Simon Hart's too. What about you?

Happy heady days of the William Tell (now the Hairy Lemon) and Bartley Dunne's (when Dicey would let me in)! Then the last bus home trying to pay half fare Grin

They are lovely. How much were they? I got a pair of Harley Davidson boots that were (I think expensive over £200,present) that I don't want to wear in case I'd mess them up. Those look ideal!

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 09/09/2018 00:48

€105 where I am so guessing 8n and around the £80 - 90 mark?

OP posts:
MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 09/09/2018 00:49

Don't know where the '8n' and 'and' came from!
