Didriksons sizing?

Hi there ladies, hoping someone could give me a few tips regarding the Didriksons ‘eline’ Parka.

I’m a slim 8-10uk with no boobs to speak of and am 5 foot 4 tall.

Heard these have super long arms?😟
Will a size 10 be ok as I don’t want it to be fitted?

Linking to the one I want to purchase here

Thanks:)

They are quite generous. I have the 'Mary' coat from a couple of years ago, which is similar. I sized down one.

Thank Primal.
I’m finding mixed reviews - I do wish the websites would state which size the blonde model is wearing. That would help!

Going off the size chart, I register as the top end of a 34 (uk8)

Embarrassing as it is to admit, although I’m very slight, I do get a fair bit of chronic IBS bloat so even when a 6/8 coat fits it is occasionally snug st the belly 😐

I don't find them generous, mine is quite fitted (can't remember the style name) and I think I went up a size.

Hi. About 4 years ago Didrikson changed their sizing. From memory, up to that point, it was generally advised to go down a size. But now, as the sizing has changed, you go for the the size you are. I haven't found the arms too long.

My experience is that it depends on the style as some are a slimmer fit than others and also depends on whether you’d be likely to wear a chunky jumper underneath.

I’m a 12/10 and the one I bought last year is a 38 (Celine). It is more generously proportioned than the other one I had which was the same size but different style. If I didn’t want to wear a chunky jumper then a 36 would have been fine. I also tried on the Nancy last year and the 38 was quite snug.

So my advice would be to order 2 sizes and return one if you can’t try them on beforehand.

I bought my first one from the shop you’ve linked to and I rang them at the time and asked them about sizing. They were very helpful and seemed to understand the fit of different styles.

They’re fab coats.

Thanks for the replies, it does seem like it will depend upon the individual coat. The one i am interested in does look rather roomy.

It would most likely be a good idea to give them a call.

Just an update for anyone who may also be trying to decide over their new coat!

I called one of the stores and was told that the brand tended, these days, to be ‘snug’.

Seeing as I wanted breathing space in there I ordered the size uk10.

I am usually a uk8 but unless a coat is really big I can usually wear a 10.

The Didriksons Eline parka is very roomy! I am 5’4 and it is above my knee (just), very beautiful, and has sleeves long enough for an orangutan .
I can actually roll the sleeves under without disturbing the storm thingies with the thumb holes, so that is a plus.

Not decided yet. With a jumper and jeans beneath, I am not certain a uk8 would feel as comfy st the hip.......so......

It sure ain’t snug.
