What do your men folk use to style their hair?

Asking on behalf of DS who has the thickest floppiest hair. It’s short at sides, longer choppy on top and it flops 😩
He doesn’t particularly like it feeling like sticky glue, any suggestions ?

Mine has started to use pomade, then held in place with hairspray. He wears his hair like Alfred from the Peaky Blinders.
