Can anyone style savvy tell me what this kind of neckline is actually called?

It's a dress I saw on Pinterest while searching for wedding dress ideas, and I've fallen in love with it.

Just need to know what I should be googling to try and find something similar! Many thanks.

I (and my mother) would call that a funnel neck. Though perhaps that's just something we made up? Hopefully some actual fashionistas will drop by to confirm or deny.

Raised boat neck?

highlandcoo · 04/09/2018 16:33

Boat neck I would say. A funnel neck would be a bit narrower imo

I agree with Quantum and would call that a funnel neck. Might be worth searching for Jackie O style dresses as she often wore shift dresses and jackets with that neckline. Very stylish. Good luck with your search.

dontcallmelen · 04/09/2018 16:37

I would say a boat neck, funnel is usually much higher up on the neck aka funnel neck coats.

shakeyourcaboose · 04/09/2018 16:43

I'd also say boat!

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 04/09/2018 16:56

See, I always thought a boat neck sat flat on your shoulders, whereas a funnel neck stood up a bit. Though I take the point that funnel necks are usually taller and narrower.

Could we agree on boat funnel neck??

shakeyourcaboose · 04/09/2018 17:11

Agree Quantum!

dontcallmelen · 04/09/2018 18:28

Agreee Quantum

SallyOMalley · 04/09/2018 18:29

Is it a bateau neckline?

BikeRunSki · 04/09/2018 18:39

I’d call that a Jackie O neckline. A boat neck or bateau is lower, along the collar bone.

opalescent · 04/09/2018 19:59

Thank you all!!☺️

In a dress pattern bit would be called a funnel neck, I think.

Lindtnotlint · 04/09/2018 20:12

Funnel neck (a wide one)

travailtotravel · 04/09/2018 20:13

Could be a high bardot also.

bloopitybloop · 04/09/2018 21:04

Isn’t that a slash Neck ?

emma6776 · 04/09/2018 22:27

Hobbs do tops with this neckline & call it a Audrey.

Cantthinkofnameargh · 05/09/2018 00:03

I think it's a called a wide funnel neck. Something like this :
