Are my new boots a wearable colour?

I’ve just got home with my tk maxx bargain Dr Martens Pascals. I loved them in the shop, but now I’m having a wobble - are they a funny colour? They’re a sort of light beige/grey/ivory colour.
I’ve had my eyes on a brown pair for ages, but these were only £35 so I couldn’t resist. I just want something for casual stomping about in jeans. I really do like them - but don’t want to look too flash/try hard.

I think they're lovely, OP. Smile

PatMustardsHairyBaby · 04/09/2018 14:43

I don't think they're flash/try-hard at all but they're not a colour I would ever go for. Too wishy washy.

If you like them, rock them. Docs always look good .

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 04/09/2018 14:45

I like them.

Knittedfairies · 04/09/2018 14:51

If you decide you don’t like the colour, see if your local shoe repair place would dye them for you. You got a bargain!

Barbayagar · 04/09/2018 14:54

I like them too. I think you could start a trend there!

EnidButton · 04/09/2018 14:55

I like them a lot and I'm not a DocM fan usually. Keep them.

ToftheB · 04/09/2018 15:06

Thank you everyone, I shall wear them with confidence.

They're great, OP. I've got 2 pairs of DMs that I adore for winter and can't wait to get them back on!! I've got the Rosa fur lined boots for walking, and chelsea boots for work.

MaryBoBary · 04/09/2018 15:30

I also really like them and have never bought/considered doc martins before. They are a great neutral colour and I love the poses 😂

Nice rugs you got there too! (I'm a bit rug-obsessed at the moment.) Grin

MrsRubyMonday · 04/09/2018 16:17

I love them, neutral enough to wear with most jeans colours and pretty much any top. Gonna look stunning this winter with your warm feet :)

Loyaultemelie · 04/09/2018 16:19

I love them

Bugjune · 04/09/2018 16:28

They're kind of pebble coloured, I like them.

XingMing · 04/09/2018 16:45

Love them!

rightknockered · 04/09/2018 16:52

They're fabulous!

purplecorkheart · 04/09/2018 17:28

Love them!

goose1964 · 05/09/2018 00:32

I had a pair in a similar colour surprisingly easy to keep clean

Lizzy1980 · 05/09/2018 05:43

I think they're lovely. A bit unusual without being too 'out there'.
If you've never worn Docs before good luck breaking them in because you're going to need it! Once you have though they're the most comfy shoes you'll ever own.
You've had a great bargain and they're really nice

donajimena · 05/09/2018 05:46

I've got a pair of Timberlands in the same colour. I love them. I think those are lovely.

ToftheB · 05/09/2018 12:48

Update - I wore them out today and felt pretty bloody cool, thank you all for being so encouraging. They hurt a bit, but not as much as I was expecting.

Ellapaella · 05/09/2018 14:39

They are a lovely pair of boots - I'm totally jealous. I think the colour is neutral and will work with almost anything g.

foxtiger · 09/09/2018 16:57

I would call that colour cream which is one of my favourite colours. They'll go beautifully with black, blue, pink, purple, orange... in fact I can't think of a colour they wouldn't go well with, except maybe pure white. The only snag is they might get dirty easily - I wouldn't wear them where you know it's going to be muddy!
