Just looking for a bit of help.

I would dearly love to have my colours done but unfortunately can't justify the cost at the moment.

I have worked out that the following colours look best on me: pale blue, pale yellow, pinky coral, cobalt blue, light grey.
I'm much better in charcoal and navy than black.

My hair is light blonde and my skin is pale but with a yellow tone rather than pink. The slightly odd thing is though the cooler colours look better clothes wise, if I buy a red lipstick it looks better if it has a browny tone to it.

Does this point me in the direction of a particular season or is it much more complicated than that?

I had mine done, you don't sound like autumn!
Kettlewell do an online version

Musicmadmummy · 04/09/2018 11:06

Thanks fuzzy, I'll check out the kettlewell version online. If I'm not autumn then that's one down Smile

Roughly, if your veins on your arm look blue you are a cool and if they are green you are a warm. It's also dependent on your eye colour. Your hair colour may be ignored like mine was. There's much more to it than that though as even the seasons have types. There's plenty of information out there on Google - you need to hunt for it. Don't start with what you think suits you colour wise.

You sound like a spring of some kind from that description.
I'll see if I can find a link to the quiz I posted a couple of years ago, which may help...

Musicmadmummy · 04/09/2018 13:21

Great advice here thank you. I can see now that I am trying to work it out backwards by starting with the colours!
I will go off and do the quizzes and in the meantime start saving up for the real thing. Thanks again.

I’d say spring too based on those colours. There’s obviously some overlap with colours. The house of colour colour wheel is here. That might help. Try putting a cream and then white cloth against your face, whichever makes you look better will tell you if you’re warm (cream) - so autumn or spring, or cool (white) so winter or summer.

I’ve definitely saved money since I had mine done because I don’t buy things that don’t suit me any more!

You sound like a Blue Spring.

The reason you look a bit 'cool' is because you have Winter as secondary (sits next to bright/blue spring on the colour wheel).

You have a warm look overall but it's tempered with a coolness, hence why you look good in navy, grey and blue and red rather than brown.

Do you have 'eyes' - do people always comment on your eyes? That's normally a giveaway with Springs.

PhyllisWig · 04/09/2018 23:38

Sounds similar to me and I'm a spring albeit a paintbox one (so all the warm bright colours). I would agree with the blue spring thing - someone in my session was one and those colours were her best ones.

Didn't know about the 'eyes' thing! I do have 'eyes'.

Winterwoman007 · 05/09/2018 08:28

The eyes thing isn't just springs. Definitely not.

vitaminC · 05/09/2018 12:44

No, but I agree it can be what differentiates springs from autumns.
