Stan Smith’s or Gazelles?

I’ve got quite flat feet so have to wear orthotic insoles. I find the insoles are enough to make most trainers comfy. Which are better for wider feet; Stan Smiths or Gazelles?

i would definitely go with gazelles. i have found that they work well with wide feet and are very comfortable.

I'm narrow and love my Stan smiths so guessing gazelle

SerenDippyEggs · 04/09/2018 11:51

I've got fat wide feet - Stan Smiths all the way! I love mine

silkpyjamasallday · 04/09/2018 11:53

I have wide feet, and wear insoles, my stans are perfect - although mine are Velcro rather than lace up and I don't know if that makes a difference. I've always thought gazelles looked narrow and have avoided them, but clearly pps think otherwise.

Both! Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/09/2018 12:05

My feet are wide at the front compared to the heel and I wear half orthotics in my Stan smiths for arch support, they fit fine.

HilaryBriss · 04/09/2018 12:43

I've got very wide feet and my Gazelles cripple me Sad

thorragnarok · 04/09/2018 13:50

I have really wide feet and can wear Stan Smiths but not Gazelles.

MissClareRemembers · 04/09/2018 15:09

Stan Smith's sound like the best bet! Thanks all.

I have both and gazelles are definitely narrower so I’d go for the stan smiths :)

Hi, where can you get the insoles. I went to a private podiatrist and was told they are £300. I am wondering if there are more cheaper options. I have quite bad flat feet which hurts when I walk a lot or run.

stayfit · 04/09/2018 16:24

Forgot to add I am using a Nike air. It's the most comfortable after trying a lot of shoes.

ichifanny · 04/09/2018 18:32

Gazelles are more narrow and quite thin soles I find Stan smiths more supportive and I don’t feel every bump in the pavement

0teaandtoast0 · 04/09/2018 20:30

Gazelles are narrow and even with narrow feet I find them uncomfortable. Stan Smiths much better! (Or try Superstars for another wider Adidas shoe.)

ChishandFips33 · 04/09/2018 20:47

I wear an insole and have Gazelles and Superstars (similar to Stan Smiths I think) - Superstars are more comfortable - wider and chunkier sole

thorragnarok · 04/09/2018 20:57

YY to Superstars - so comfy and supportive for wide feet. Have actually been a game changer for me.

mammmamia · 04/09/2018 21:01

I tried superstars and Stan smiths and the gazelles fit best - size 6 was too big in the others which is weird as that’s always my size.

SellFridges · 04/09/2018 21:05

Superstars are wide. I’ve just had a pair. I also had to buy a five, after several years of buying a six in all other trainers.

MissClareRemembers · 04/09/2018 22:12

I hadn’t looked at Superstars. Will now have a try on. Thanks!

I had wide feet - I love Stan Smith. I've never tried Gazelles though. Superstars are wide but they make my feet look like mascot-feet lol
