Tips/products for scrunch drying fine, slightly wavy long bob?

Recently got my hair cut into a long bob, I really like it and it has put a bit of life back into it. I am reasonable at styling it straight but the hairdresser mentioned I could also scrunch dry it for a different look but have no clue how to achieve this. I always thought I had poker straight hair but when I leave my hair natural at this length it turns out I actually do have a bit of a wave to it. Without some styling though it seems to end up looking unintentionally messy rather than artfully disheveled.

Any tips for technique or products to help the style without weighing my hair down? Will try to post a pic of it straight so you can get an idea of my hair texture. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Have you tried using a diffuser on your hairdryer? I used to put a bit of mousse through my hair , tip it downwards and scrunch dry. Your cut looks lovely by the way!

Thanks Rath. I don't have a diffuser attachment on my hairdryer - I wonder if they are the kind of thing you can buy separately. Am determined to get this right as so far my attempts have left me hurriedly slinging my hair up in a half pony!

Charles Worthington has a new volume boosting mousse which I find great for waves?

Have you tried salt spray? I find that good.

Thanks for the tips disabrie and fiorentina. I haven't tried either of those. May I ask what hair type you both are? I have to be really careful to avoid products weighing my hair down.

Shoulder length and reasonably fine is my hair type. A slight wave but I don’t blow dry just spray salt spray and leave to dry naturally as with post beach hair.

Perfect thanks Fiorentina. Sounds similar to me.
