Best 'hold you in' tights?

Next Saturday my DD1 is getting married to her beautiful female partner. With lots of young glamorous guests.
I've been at home for 6 weeks ( I'm a TA) and appear to have added half a stone of wine, cheese and crusty bread to my waistline!!!!

I have a lovely dress but not a lovely figure! I tried some spanx on in M+S.. did the job but it took two of us to get me in and out of them, which after a few drinks might be a disaster, so wondered if there are any good tights which would just smooth out the waistline a bit?

I never wear dresses so it's all a mystery to me!

M&S do some good body shaper tights. I wear them with their body shape slips which are easier to manage than Spanx.

I agree with Grim - however, don't wear them over a shiny body as I used to do. It encourages the tight to roll down!

I have some mega Spanx which do do the trick, but are a nightmare to get in and out of.
Wolford tights are mega pricey but really do the job of holding you in. Snip 2cm down the front seam with scissors and it’ll stop them rolling down.

The snip trick works with any tights btw

Orablu Shock Up tights. Lift your bum up, suck belly in and hold thighs firm. Don't cause that bloating thing that a lot of holdy in tights seem to. Consider sizing up as I found them small.

They do higher denier than these and mote opaque ones. Best ones I've ever tried by far. More expensive than I'd usually go for tights but cheaper than a bum lift. Grin

^ think they do high waisted ones too.

Spanx tights which come up to your bra.

I live in them in winter with dresses. Means no bulge at the waist where tights end or under the bra- nice smooth line over whole body and hips- and keeps you snuggy warm.
If tight fitting dress don't wear underwear for an entirely smooth silouette.
