Footwear for standing on the side of a Rugby pitch?

I am hoping some of you who have sporty kids can help. I am heading into another year of standing freezing at the side of a pitch and this year I want to have shoes that can cope with wet, muddy conditions without looking daft. How do those parents that look so put together do it.

I have looked at Barbour and Timberland but as well as being ££££ they don't really strike me as the right thing.

Any ideas?

Bogs! Toasty warm feet all rugby season long.

Another vote for Neoprene lined wellies, add a parka, decent gloves and a distinctive wooly hat and you are sorted. Remember a nice thermomug as well!

Emu boots. The waterproof ones. I live in mine in cold/wet weather.
