Jewellery yes or no?

Evening all,

Need advice was going to post on weddings but thought I'd ask you helpful lot.

I'm getting married in 6 weeks and unsure whether I should wear jewellery with my dress. I have attached a pic. It does come with a belt which is sparkly but I'm unsure whether I'll wear it as I'm not a "sparkly" person.

Thanks x

You look beautiful!!

Because the dress is quite detailed with the ruffles, I think you actually look amazing without any jewellery. You have beautiful skin and I think the simplicity of the top half (jewellery free) is kind of set off nicely by the detail on the bottom half. I think it complements your tatts beautifully too, and jewellery might make it too 'busy'.

If you did want something, I'd suggest a very simple, thin pendant, maybe in silver? But I love it as it is!

sausagerole · 31/08/2018 21:14

Haha sorry for being so gushy, but you look lovely!

Peta11 · 31/08/2018 21:20

You look absolutely gorgeous!
I would wear the sparkly belt! , maybe a very fine necklace and diamond stud earrings.
Have a brilliant day!! ..and congratulations x

Racheyg · 31/08/2018 21:25

Ahh thanks guys.

I wasn't sure whether the dress needed jewellery as like you said it's quite detailed with the ruffles and didn't want to over complicate the dress.

Aww you look lovely! If you're wearing hair up then delicate earrings and necklace would be perfect if not maybe go with the belt and a dainty bracelet - have a lovely day!

sausagerole · 31/08/2018 21:29

Ooh yes actually, some simple earrings might be nice. Either diamond-style studs as suggested,or drop pearls a bit like this

These are slightly sparklier and although you said you're not massively into sparkly, the slightly longer length and slightly bigger pearls might balance out the bottom of the dress a bit better than the other ones

Sorry, can't shorten links on phone!

IWouldLikeToKnow · 31/08/2018 21:41

I would suggest wearing the belt and then just some simple stud earrings. Gorgeous dress, you'll look fab on the day either way x

bluemoonchances · 31/08/2018 21:47

You look gorgeous! Beautiful dress!

If you're not a sparkly person I'd not wear the belt and just wear a simple necklace with a single stone pendant, and similar simple earrings.

I'm a sparkly person so I'd wear the belt and a more ott sparkly necklace, I thing both would look nice with that dress.

EnidButton · 31/08/2018 22:41

Keep it simple and delicate so what eveyone else said really. Do you have a pic with the belt?

Love it btw! It's so floaty and beautiful.

Pinkyyy · 01/09/2018 09:33

Beautiful!

My cousin had the exact same dress and she wore a sparkly belt and it looked lovely. I'd say that a necklace would complete the look as the top is quite bare, especially if you plan on wearing your hair up. Congratulations and enjoy the big dayFlowers

HermioneWeasley · 01/09/2018 11:15

Sparkly belt and earrings. I think a necklace will break up the lines too much. You could wear earrings with a bit of a drop to them if you’re not wearing a necklace

Fairylea · 01/09/2018 11:21

I would go with something sparkly in your hair, like a silver hair accessory / comb with some sparkle at the top pushed into the top of a side ponytail or bun etc to add some sparkle. I don’t think I’d wear any other sparkly stuff.

Racheyg · 01/09/2018 11:46

Thanks for all the lovely compliments.

Here is a pic with the belt

I think the belt finishes the dress off and doesn't look over the top with it. I would look for some simple earrings that have a bit of a sparkle to tie in with the belt. Will you be wearing a veil or hat?

HildaZelda · 01/09/2018 12:11

I'd wear it with the belt and just some simple earrings. You look fabulous by the way!

Needahairbrush · 01/09/2018 14:15

You could wear a simple choker style if you feel you ‘need’ something on your neck. It looks lovely

OrcinusOrca · 01/09/2018 14:17

I think simple jewellery like pearl pendant necklace and earrings and definitely the sparkly belt, but I am a magpie haha.

mowglik · 01/09/2018 14:41

I wouldn’t wear the belt, it looks beautiful without any embellishments. I’d wear simple diamond or pearl drop earrings like these

You look stunning!

EnidButton · 01/09/2018 16:38

I like it with the belt best.

DorisDances · 01/09/2018 19:01

You look fabulous. I think the belt links the top and bottom of the dress nicely. A bit of sparkle in earrings would accent it well. Whatever you end up going with I do hope you have a wonderful dsy
