What are your favourite flat shoes that are not boots or trainers?

I lived in them last winter and they will probably make an appearance this winter too.

I wore these last winter and will be wearing them again when the weather gets cooler.

BeautifulPossibilities · 31/08/2018 21:39

Thank-you. It's so hard finding shoes for the colder months! So difficult.

These pointy flats www.johnlewis.com/jigsaw-aya-strap-pointed-loafers-wine/p3733272

And I’m looking for some brogues.

BikeRunSki · 31/08/2018 22:59

I am partial to a brogue

NipInTheAir · 31/08/2018 23:00

Love Mercurial's loafers. On holiday earlier this year I saw an Italian lady wearing a light metallic loafer with ribbons for laces. I looked and looked in France but could find nothing like them. Any ideas?

I’ve ordered these

I also like lkbennett version and mint velvet

BeautifulPossibilities · 01/09/2018 10:40

Thank-you! Lots of places I haven't looked

Ballet pumps & pointy flats

tierraJ · 01/09/2018 13:06

I get them from cheaper places like Primark, Accessorize, new look, even Tesco. Because I like to change pairs regularly.

Brambleboo · 01/09/2018 13:48

I have ballet flats for everyday wear, in a few different colours, and for evening/going out wear I have pointed toe ballet flats. The pointy toe does make quite a difference to the look.

I'm stuck with flats, unfortunately, due to arthritis, so I look for ones that have been dressed up a bit with decoration, patent leather finish etc to vary my look a bit.

blodynmawr · 01/09/2018 14:43

I like these M&S autograph grey loafers too.

margaritasbythesea · 01/09/2018 15:41

I´ve just got these from Office but in black. I love them.

I would also really like a pair of DM brogues in oxblood.

VioletWillow · 01/09/2018 15:49

I exclusively wear flat shoes lately. DM boots and long brown boots, also suede desert boots with jeans, for shoes I wear Red or Dead flat buckle shoes or brogues (I am building quite a collection of brogues now). I am also considering a pair of loafers.

fredabear · 01/09/2018 15:54

I love flat shoes, am rubbish at heels unless boots or sandals for some reason. I prefer loafers, have black ones in patent and suede and have just ordered these leopard ones from Next. Haven't ventured in to brogues, but might be the next step...

VioletWillow · 01/09/2018 15:55

Fredabear I really like those!

fredabear · 01/09/2018 16:24

Thanks violet, I hope I like them as much in RL as online! Picking up tomorrow will report back.

ArkAtEee · 01/09/2018 18:17

@NipInTheAir I have these (sorry can't remember how to do a clicky link)
www.marksandspencer.com/leather-block-heel-brogue-shoes/p/p60139661?image=SD_01_T02_8311_Y0_X_EC_90&color=BLACK&prevPage=srp
Which I wear with some ribbon laces I bought on eBay. The laces were a pound or two each, with loads of different colours and there seem to be lots of sellers

SleepingInYourFlowerbed · 01/09/2018 18:20

margaritasbythesea I have those in grey. They're lovely

NipInTheAir · 01/09/2018 20:28

Thank you Ark good idea but not quite the style. I bet they look great though.
