Would you buy this gym kit?

Back in the spring Ted Baker brought out a gym range that I loved (the ‘Harmony’ stuff). It’s pricey though so I made myself wait for the sale.

Of course, the sale came and went and it wasn’t reduced.

Now I really need some new kit as I’m starting a fitness drive once the dc go back to school, so the question is, do I say sod it and buy it anyway, even though due to Sod’s Law they will then immediately put it in the sale? OR do I hold out a bit longer and risk Sod’s Law resulting in it selling out in my size before ever being reduced?

Gah. WWYD?

Give yourself a goal. Say "when I can run 5/10/20k" or "if I work out 3 x a week for a month" that kinda thing, then if you achieve your goal, you can buy the fancy gym kit.

That way, you've earnt it. And maybe, just maybe it will be reduced by the time you get there.

  • genius comment was in response to the target/reward suggestion.

Cheap kit then Christmas sale suggestion is eminently practical and what my sensible head says.

If it helps, it doesn't look like gym kit it looks like stuff for dolly birds who go to the gym to pose instead if exercising ;)
