Anyone else allergic to waxing?

I had my legs and bikini line waxed for years.

The last few times I've had an awful allergic reaction- itchy, red welts that took days and loads of Piriton to calm down.
The therapist tried 3 different sorts of wax and using/ not using after wax lotion. I follow the aftercare religiously.
If feels as though I'm now allergic to the process of waxing, the itchiness only stops when the hairs begin to grow through.

Obviously I've gone back to shaving but I wondered if anyone else had had the same problem and if using an Epilator would be the same.

I was. I got lasered instead. Best decision ever. I tried an epilator once. It was torture.

Thanks Euro, how would I find about about lasering? Is it suitable for legs too? For some reason I thought it was only for dark, facial hair.

I second the laser, no hairs no fuss no itching. My Bikini line was a nightmare before I had it done. Can be really quite expensive sign up to Groupon or Woucher and see if any salons are doing it in your area. It can work out a lot cheaper.

I've had legs, under arms and bikini line done well a little more I've just got a postage stamp left. Sorry it's a little painful too but really worth it.

Thanks so much.
I've found a place quite near but it looks like it might cost £1600, that's seems a lot, is that right?

That really does seem a lot. If you get the daily emails with offers it's always coming round on there. I think I only paid £120 for my under arms doing which was 6 goes. I'm in Leeds so I don't know if it's more in other parts of the country.
