Hi everyone,
Just thought it would be interesting and helpful to others to share best holiday/summer buys this year. Mine has to be the wrap swimsuit from Boden. It was recommended to me on here after I asked about swimsuits to flatter the tummy. I felt really worried about wearing swimwear on holiday and felt amazing in that swimsuit!

Mine was a pair of Levis denim shorts - have worn them so much.

Taffeta · 30/08/2018 18:34

Two things I’ve worn loads:

A yellow dress from H & M - bought in Palma, cheap as chips
A RVYN blue grey and white top from Shoreditch market

mycatplotsdeath · 30/08/2018 19:07

A white Linen top from Monsoon
A pair of blush wide leg trousers from new look.

DelphiniumBlue · 30/08/2018 21:05

Black Hush loose shirt dress.

OmniCompetent · 30/08/2018 21:28

Thin, navy, wide-legged trousers, reduced to £40 in LK Bennett. Wore them practically every day in the heat wave - cool, comfy, go with everything, don’t have to get my legs out! Properly chuffed with my bargain.

This raincoat from Zara. Despite the heatwave here, I went on two holidays where it rained incessantly. This kept me bone dry, and I felt stylish in it too. Best raincoat ever.

Tan leather bag from Amazon, it’s gone up by about £10 since I bought it. (See photo) I’ve used it every day for about s month, it’s a great size and is so useful.

Majorcan sandals in silver from TKMaxx (£16), which I’ve worn to restaurants, markets, the beach.

The flying squirrel jumpsuit Grin

Floisme · 30/08/2018 22:47

The most worn are some Uniqlo U range cotton canvass cropped trousers (strictly speaking an autumn buy but not really worn till this summer) a vintage heavy linen jacket from the 50s, and a linen shirt from a charity shop - brand label cut out but made in England and I would guess as M&S from back in the day.

Cherrypie32 · 30/08/2018 22:56

Boyfriend light blue denim shorts from New Look have not been off my arse for more than 24hrs in the last 2 months!

Cherrypie32 · 30/08/2018 22:57

Gah! I did wash them obviously 😂

JillCrewesmum · 30/08/2018 23:00

I second the flying squirrel jumpsuit! In black with a neon yellow bandeau top.

bingohandjob · 30/08/2018 23:40

Uniqlo wide leg Marimekko trousers - they were brilliant in the heatwave!

chipsandgin · 30/08/2018 23:43

Aldo campodoro sandals, love them!

ShopoholicIn · 31/08/2018 07:06

Izabel London skirt

A pair of denim-y culottes from Jaeger which I picked up in a dress agency for £20. Incredibly flattering, could be dressed up or down, and very comfortable. Wore them everywhere from conferences to holiday.

DelphiniumBlue · 01/09/2018 20:59

Hush black shirt dress - I take the recommendation back! Just washed it and it's shrunk by about 3 inches!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/09/2018 22:45

I've got the Hush black shirt dress. I don't think it's shrunk, but it creases like a bastard. I do like it though - wore it with bare legs on holiday, and it should be good with black tights and boots in Autumn.

MorningsEleven · 01/09/2018 22:47

White to Brown fake tan. Not a hint of orange.

StealingYourWiFi · 02/09/2018 09:41

Levis shorts (got on the La redoute 50% deal so even better!)

this dress

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 02/09/2018 10:42

This denim midi skirt. It can be dressed up or down and doesn't need ironing. I've worn it a few times a week all summer and live in a hot country so will get a couple more months of wear out of it too.

These Office sandals, comfiest ever I've had, good for walks but still stylish enough

An H&M red floral button down midi dress, wore many times, always cheers me up. Can still wear with leather jacket and boots for autumn.

H&M pair of black cotton shorts for 9 pounds. Always hated wearing shorts but gave in this holiday, they are so cool and comfy and go with everything.

Next boyfriend shorts. Extremely flattering on my just-the-wrong-side-of-curvy body and had to size down too which is always cheering.

Girlwiththearabstrap · 03/09/2018 14:53

A Zara leopard print midi skirt. I posted in here for advice, someone recommended it and I think about 5 of us ended up ordering it. It was a bargain in the sale at £20. I've worn it loads this summer and am wondering if it'll transition into autumn with tights, boots, jumper etc.
