Would you wear men’s brogues?

I really like these

They are in my size (6) and I like the colour... however brogues are new territory for me and I don’t want to look too masculine as I’ll be wearing them with loose pinstripe trousers! Confused

Is there a brogue cut that is different for men and for women? Having searched on Google I’m not sure...!

This is all v nice but now that you're not buying them I may have to myself. How can I know if a size 6 is my size in men's?

dudsville I’d start with your normal size, that tends to be the answer for me.

I've been thinking of buying men's' shoes because I have wide feet and I suspect men's' shoes of the same size will be wider.
I have the beginnings of a bunion too, and men's, shoes are a much more sensible shape at the toe end. You never see men with bunions.

When you are size 9 you sometimes have no choice!

I have a brown pair and a black pair of brogues and absolutely live in them. They are simply the most comfortable shoes- I can walk for miles in them but then look smart when I arrive. My style is quite feminine and I find that they look good with lots of things- skirts as well as trousers. I'm a bit top-heavy and find that they balance out an outfit in a way that lighter flat shoes can't

I sympathise with pps re black brogues. I thought they'd be cute but they make me feel like child. I keep them for funerals now!
