Where to buy a good pinafore dress?

I always buy a good pinafore dress before autumn/winter truly sets in, as I find them so comfortable and good for layering. I usually buy pinafore dresses from Jack Wills, they don't seem to do any this year.

I wondered whether anyone had good recommendations of a pinafore, it can be denim or cord, just wondering where I can get a nice pinafore for this season. Don't mind spending £40+ on one as I wear them so much.

Primark have loads - I bought one and the quality was actually better than I expected. I had tried on a very similar dress in a local boutique priced at £65 and I genuinely think the Primark £12 dress I ended up buying was better quality!

I'll have a look around, thanksfor the links and the suggestions...my friend has told me there is a good pinafore dress in sainsburys. I'll have a look next time I'm doing the weekly shop ! 😊

I have bought a really nice on in Sainsbury's, denim with buttond down the front but realised I dont like the way some are very 'open' and the bib cut to the waist

I hunted high and low for one of these today. Someone yesterday posted a pic of a lovely looking one from Oasis but I went in there today and they didn’t have it. Zara has some checked ones which I wasn’t keen on and I tried on a cord one from new look which looked awful and another in Debenhams which was okay but I think I looked like I was trying to be young and cool!
I’m going to keep looking for the oasis one as it was perfect, I’ll have a look and see if I can find the pic that was posted.

The primark ones are not great if you have big boobs, the bib part is very narrow. They have a lot of colours though. I got a nice one from ASOS but it's denim and I'm not allowed denim for work.

I have a cord midi dungaree dress from Lucy & Yak, which I adore - that looks really nice on. They have a few colours in stock, well, they did. It was fairly cheap too iirc, less than €50.
