Honesty welcome! It's for a wedding in a couple of weeks.

I'm having a confidence and style cris after becoming newly single.

Won't be with these shoes as they are incredibly painful.

Also if it's a yes, what nail colour? Dark red?

It's not really my cup of tea and not particularly flattering. I prefer something more fitted round the middle, or a shift dress but this dress is neither one thing nor the other.

I'm guessing you have a great figure but the dress makes you look a bit shapeless

Gossipygirl · 29/08/2018 11:09

It's a really lovely dress!
Might be the angle but it looks a bit big for you?

shinynew · 29/08/2018 11:12

Thanks ladies, the sleeves are kimono style, so oversized definatley not too big elsewhere. The middle. I'm undecided.

The dress is a Size 10, I'm a 10-12 but all my weight is around my middle.

It’s a nice dress, but it looks a little big and like it’s hiding a nice figure. Agree with pp that something more fitted might suit you better.

Rachelsholiday · 29/08/2018 11:13

Even if it isn't too big for you it looks like it is, not sure about it sorry

Justmuddlingalong · 29/08/2018 11:14

Can you post a picture taken straight on. At that angle with the sleeves in the way it looks a bit like a dressing gown tied round the middle.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 29/08/2018 11:16

I think you look fab

SleepingInYourFlowerbed · 29/08/2018 11:17

Not sure how to say this but it makes your boobs look, um, low. I think it's because the middle hides what is actually happening

Haberpop · 29/08/2018 11:18

It looks too big, it also looks to be a neither here nor there length on you. You have a lovely figure but this dress is trying to hide that fact.

Ledehe · 29/08/2018 11:18

Do you have a better bra to take a pic with that on?

pcrumbs · 29/08/2018 11:21

Don't want to be mean but it looks like a frumpy dressing gown.
You have a lovely slim figure and there are a million other dresses out there that would flatter you and show off your figure better.

w4ytoomuch · 29/08/2018 11:24

I'd wear it with a silver tone metal waist belt perhaps?

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/08/2018 11:30

It does look like a dressing gown, sorry.

Melstarrynight · 29/08/2018 11:39

I also think it's frumpy, sorry.

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 29/08/2018 11:40

Sorry my first thought was dressing gown too. You look like you’ve got a great figure and that looks like it swamps you. Something more fitted would be better.

Mayhemmumma · 29/08/2018 11:42

Pretty colour but you need a better bra to hoist your boobs up imo

Bluntness100 · 29/08/2018 11:42

I also thought it looked like a dressing gown, sorry op. It flatters no part of you.

Therealjudgejudy · 29/08/2018 11:58

Dressing gown vibes here too. Sorry

plusonefail · 29/08/2018 11:58

Definitely looks like a dressing gown and hides what a nice figure you have.

shinynew · 29/08/2018 12:04

Thank you everyone for the honest replies. I'm going to send it back and get something more fitted. X

I think it's lovely, and you look great in it. It doesn't look as though you need something more fitted, and it doesn't look as though it's swamping you - it looks just right.

GreyGauntlet · 29/08/2018 15:16

You are so slim with such a good figure, you can go for something much more fitting than this!
This is a good dress to hide a multitude of sins - but you don't need to!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 29/08/2018 15:19

Just saw this- glad you are sending back- it looks like it’s swamping you and from this angle def looks big and not flattering. Think you’d be better with a waist at your natural waist? Good luck!

MaryandMichael · 29/08/2018 15:20

Good for you. You look lovely and the dress wasn't doing you any favours, so sending it back for something more fitted is a very good idea.
