Burgundy jeans??

I may be hormonal but noticed these in shops today and I really like them. What the hell would I wear with them? I have brown ankle boots...but I'm 39 years old and size 12-14. Worried my arse will look huge!

They'd look great with brown boots and any autumn style colours - mustards, browns, navy, charcoal grey. They sound like they would go perfectly with leopard print which is everywhere at the minute - try Warehouse for a great leopard print jumper or Banana Republic for a slightly oversized silk/cashmere blend jumper.

I have a pair and they go really nicely with a navy and white Breton, they look more ‘done’ than jeans too.

I’mmconvinced I saw the same bright yellow leopard print top on two different people on tv today , the fashion blogger on Lorraine this morning, and one of the Loos3 Women presenters also. Tried googling 5hem both to confirm, but failed.

Sorry, am digressing.

Just got rid of mine. Never really found anything other than a black jumper that looked okay with them, and I always felt as if they made me look fat.

I have a really skinny pair and I wear them with a cream chunky sweater in the winter or a floral top with burgundy colours in it.

I've got some burgundy chinos and I'm hardly ever out of them, they go with so many things even things you wouldn't expect, experiment! For what it's worth I'm way older than OP.

Burgundy would look nice with dark grey top and grey or brown boots, a denim shirt, or a navy Breton top
Plenty of options and could dress up easier than blue jeans I think

Amelia, I completely agree with you. I asked my DD for some fashion advice because obviously her mummy isn’t very ‘in with the trends’ as they call it and that is exactly what she said. A patterned blouse could look very nice as well! You do you

I have some (skinnies from Sainsburys ages ago) and wear them a lot with breton tops and brogues.

I wear them with black, white, grey, camel and navy mostly, or combinations of those colours (either patterned tops in those colours or say a black top and grey cardi. I also have a couple of very pale orange tops which I really like with them too!

Black boots, brown boots, beige suede boots, pale blue suede boots, grey trainers, patterned trainers.. actually I don't think I own a pair of shoes which don't go with them!

I got some nice ones in Mango a few years ago. I usually wear them with cream or black jumpers, never thought to try out grey with them!

Don't worry about them making your bum look big, OP. Burgundy is as slimming as any other dark shade. It also goes with a whole host of other colours: navy, brown, rust, mustard, cream, even a rich slate grey or a soft pearl grey (nothing too "school jumper shade"). Personally I would avoid pairing it with black or even charcoal - it seems to cheapen it somewhat by dulling down the pigment. You want a colour which brings out the natural warmth of burgundy, which all those colours I listed above will do.

M&s sells them. They dont do it for me (same as brown jeans/trousers... just far too 90s)
