Colour b4 question

Hoping to get some advice from someone with more experience in this...

I used colourb4 on my hair yesterday. I'm not after a drastic colour change but I had a lot of colour build up with patches around the front that were nearly black rather than chestnut brown (I've been using L'Oreal Virginia for about a year). It worked really well - not a colour I want to keep as it's a bit too ginger and my grey roots are terrible - but a good base. My plan was to put a light ash brown semi permanent colour on today but I've woken up and it's looking darker than it was yesterday. Not back to what it was but definitely darker. I know I definitely rinsed for the right length of time cos I used a timer on my phone. So my dilemma is - should I go ahead and colour today or should I do another round of colourb4 first? The instructions say you can do it three times in one day but has anyone actually done that? Will it hurt my hair to do it again?

I had to do this as my hair went darker after it dried. Even though I washed my hair for at least twice as long as it said, there must have been some left over, maybe? I do have very long hair so maybe that's why. I rinsed it for even longer the second time - felt like I was there all night rinsing, it took forever - but it did work better that time and no harm done to my fine hair that I could tell.

I did it twice, the second time the following day. I rinsed for longer too. My hair seems intact so far!
