Hi, I’m a woman in my mid thirties with 3 kids, I’ve not updated my wardrobe for a looooong time, but used to like the prints and slightly quirky things from places like white stuff, white stuff was always my go to, but I don’t like anything from there any more, it all just seems a bit “meh”. When I was younger I would always buy from Topshop. I really need to get some new everyday things to wear as I’ve recently lost some weight and I’m around a size 6-8, can anyone recommend any where please? I don’t have a huge budget tho sadly! Thankyou

Are you on Instagram?
I find it fantastic for fashion ideas.

Can you take yourself off to a shopping centre for a few hours without DC? Try on loads of different styles in somewhere like H&M, then go off for a coffee and think about what you liked.

Thanks for the suggestions 👍🏻

I’m afraid I don’t have anything helpful to add, but I’m following because I’m in the same position as you and could do with a bit of inspiration!

I am in a similar position OP and what I have found useful is pinning thing I liked the look of on Pinterest and seeing if there was any themes.

For instance, now I know I really want a nice grey coat for winter / a khaki jacket etc. I also inherited a leather jacket from my sister but had no idea how to style it so again Pinterested my self a board and got some ideas. I have only worn it out once (afraid everyone is looking at me! They are, of course, not) but it's a start!

I was never really interested in fashion growing up so it's all new to me and I like it!

I did the pinterest thing (you can do similar on instagram now) of other people's looks and it is amazing how quickly certain themes jumped out at you. So I replied that I loved long pencil skirts, fitted waists, midi lengths, dramatic capes, high/stand-up collars.

Taken together with a cold hard look at my body type (hourglass, vase, pear, athletic etc) and then a bit of googling to see how I could adapt what I liked to my body type, and this massively helped me find my personal style!
