For an evening in the pub?

I have no fashion sense whatsoever, please help! Blush

If it helps, I am late 30s, 5'3ish and a size ten. Recently lost quite a bit of weight and have no idea how to dress any more. Blush

I think it’s a regional thing too. I haven’t seen many people in skinny jeans and heels for a while here. A lot depends on the heel though.

tiger really? I wouldn't personally wear them to chase around after my small children, but for an evening in the pub then for me they are in some ways more practical than flats, because my friends don't have to bend down to talk to me Grin

Maybe I just need shorter friends and then I can just carry on with flats and rolled up jeans. Or tell them we need to find a table GrinGrin

I'd wear them with ankle boots or flats/converse.

OK so those of you who have said ankle boots.... Could you link to an example? I always feel like i have very clumpy feet when I wear ankle boots with skinnies....

I am certain that wearing heels to go out for a drink with friends is fine in cities. It's just that here (Devon) most people would walk to their local, and it might be a half mile away or more, so unless you were a teen with a high pain threshold, you'd probably wear trainers in good weather and walking boots or wellies in rain.

I'd say flats. I think skinnies/heels look a bit 10 years ago tbh - why does it matter if you're shorter than your friends anyway? Are you going to be getting things down off a high shelf?
