recommend me some good, comfortable knickers

All my pants are doing my head in. I’ve recently lost 4 stone and my arse is not not only smaller but a different shape (completely flat 😬) I’ve always worn the short type but now they’re all baggy and annoying, even though they’re the right size.

I’ve tried all the supermarkets and M&S ( which have disintegrated after 1 wash!)

All I want is pants that cover my arse equally on both sides, don’t give me a wedgie, have a gusset that is reasonably wide, don’t show to much under clothes and don’t fall to bits after washing! Oh and nothing that comes up to my arm pits.

Help!

Hmm it depends if you mean comfy as in granny pant comfy, in that case I am no help at all

I like comfy underwear that also look good. I get my underwear from everywhere, but I get lacy ones that crop the bum. I think its called Hipster but I've attached a photo. They are very comfortable, but DH loves the lace and the flattering effect it has on the bum. I always feel 100 x better when I have nicer underwear too as opposed to awful granny pants

Congratulations on the weight loss! x

So comfortable

Comfiest knickers I’ve ever had (I’m also the proud owner of a pancake-flat arse so they shouldn’t be baggy and annoying)

Methe · 25/08/2018 09:06

Those are the ones I bought. They are comfortable but the quality is awful, they’ve all frayed round the tops and I’ve only washed them once Angry

www.amazon.co.uk/Sloggi-Double-Comfort-Womens-Shorts/dp/B00BHVW88I/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?psc=1&ref=plSrch&keywords=sloggi%2Bdouble%2Bcomfort&th=1&dpPl=1&dpID=41yMrDsWERL&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1529783305&sr=8-4

Dont show under clothes and are so damn comfy its unreal. Like actual boxers but for women, rather than pathetic skimpy boyshorts.

keiratwiceknightly · 25/08/2018 09:08

Tkmaxx. Gym Honey or Tokyo Laundry - both their own makes I think. Ace.

Methe · 25/08/2018 09:16

I’ve never thought to look in tkmaxx for underwear, that’s a really good idea. Those sloggie ones look very comfortable! I’ve never loooked on amazon either.

Thanks both :)

If you want less coverage, then i find pretty polly bikini knickers very good and also john lewis ones. Great coverage for the size and they last and wash well

HildaZelda · 25/08/2018 10:53

Sloggi are really comfy. I often manage to pick them up in TK Maxx. Failing that, the plain bikini ones in Primark aren't bad either. 4 pack for about 3 or 4 quid.

whattimeislove · 25/08/2018 11:13

Matalan have seemless high/full briefs that are amazing

Verbena87 · 25/08/2018 11:14

Oh no! How weird - mine are months old and good as new. Will bear in mind and buy something different as maybe they’ve changed.

Methe · 25/08/2018 15:43

It is very annoying!

I’m going to order some sloggies on amazon when I get paid. Fingers crossed!

Superdry bikinis, v comfy, not naf Mum pants and lovely thick cotton, the quality is great, currently on offer at £3.50 a pair.
I rarely wear anything else.

Branleuse · 25/08/2018 17:41

Bear in mind all sloggis are not the same. Its the double comfort shorts you need,

MrsTeach · 26/08/2018 21:03

Victoria's Secret have some beautiful colours/styles and the fabric is fantastic. They can be pricey but often have mix and match deals on. I was impressed with the comfort, not all thongs as I'd assumed! Grin
