Starting my secondary teacher training and most of my wardrobe comes from Hell Bunny or similar. I love that vintage dress look. Is the consensus that the high necked, sleeved, knee length less daring print 50s style dresses are ok for work with smart black low heel Mary Janes?
My male friend is a teacher in another school and wears very...exciting print suits and it's fine.

I used to know a student teacher whose trademark look was rather 40s-looking - flowery dresses, short cardigans and low-heeled lace-up brogues. What you're suggesting sounds quite similar except just a slightly different decade. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't OK.

Depends on the school and the department.
An established teacher may have more flexibility and the art department may be less formal than the maths etc
I had a quick look on the website and some may be too unconventional in a more conservative school [ I like unconventional myself].
Thats not a lot of help.
Could you link the dress you are thinking of ?
Have a look at the pictures on the school website.

The floral ones have the shortest sleeves like this one. I've got other houndstooth and check ones like the second. And some skirts with prints on, nothing offensive, just pretty.

Can’t see a problem. All heads will have different ideas , but can’t see why any would object to that.

I wear similar style at school and it’s fine. I even pop a petticoat underneath sometimes, which gets positive comments. I work in yr5 and 6 and have a management role.
I also have a Hell Bunny coat which I use on playground duty in spring and autumn.
