I haven’t worn perfume in about ten years and feel my tastes must have changed completely. I don’t know where to start!

I want a scent I can wear all the time, something that stays close to my skin and that smells more of food/fruit/wood than a big floral ‘perfumey’ scent.

Any ideas?

I would try Diptyque. I went to Selfidges in London and was asking the assistant for something a bit different. He was really good and asked me questions what I was looking for. He suggested some and when I didn't like them he knew the reason why. It's a really personal service.

I have just discovered Fragonard Luxe etoile eau de parfum whilst browsing in M&S of all places. Tested it yesterday and could still smell it on the back of my hand when I woke this morning!

It's fresh and floral with a warm undertone, almost like a female version of a Creed aftershave my OH wears.
It's not often I get so excited about a perfume but I love it so much I've ordered it online for delivery tomorrow! I look forward to people stopping m in the street and asking what I'm wearing Grin

4160 Tuesdays - Lemon sherbert

💛 this, and you can buy small testers of all of their perfumes to make sure you like them before buying a bottle.

I just got a Brocard one which smells a bit like an apple crumble - winter apples and something it is called. Dirt cheap at £15 for a big bottle. It seems to last quite well too! I shall double check the name.
