It’s a navy dress but I’ll be wearing a tweed cape (Feb in north Scotland) and will be getting an appropriate hat- another thread

Anyway would like some fab shoes in nude / beige so they can be my fab go with anything go to shoes after....

Blush pink might look a little fresher, I can’t help feeling that nude shoes look rather dated now although I do appreciate they are still in the shops

aperolspritzplease · 23/08/2018 22:05

I think something stand out maybe picking a colour in the tweed. I hate nude shoes!

w4ytoomuch · 23/08/2018 22:09

Valentino do an amazing cross between nude and blush, they call it 'poudre'.

Also, I find these THE most comfortable 'designer' shoes.

Hmm ok so had my colours done and it’s all muted (boring) the tweed is browns and navy - sounds awful
But v nice and does look better on me than other colours.

so I thought nude maybe I should take a photo of outfit when home (on holiday) and post for suggestions

The dress is very nice Ralph Lauren 3/4 sleeves and crochet with an underslip.

Also need to find appropriate hat

What about some kind of rose gold for shoes and jewellery?

w4ytomuch love the ankle strap version but too many studs

Will keep Colour and Valentino in mind.

FWIW doesn’t have to be high end - I am just willing to pay that.

I know what you mean about too many studs. I have the exact shoe but it just has one stud at the back of the heel and they're so perfect!
Shame they don't do those anymore ...

aperolspritzplease · 23/08/2018 22:29

If go Navy then. Or pop some bold fuschia in there!

Rebecca36 · 23/08/2018 22:42

You can't go wrong with nude shoes. They go with anything and also make big feet look smaller (not saying you have big feet).

Watch Strictly and you'll see all the dancers have nude shoes.

Watch Strictly and you'll see all the dancers have nude shoes.

The female celebrities wear nude shoes to hide any mistakes in their footwork, the professional dancers wear coloured shoes.

If you are really going to be in the north of Scotland in February then there could well be snow depending where you are (and if not it will be either very wet and/or freezing) so I'd be tempted to go for boots TBH. How long are you outside/in a freezing kirk?

Pikehau · 24/08/2018 22:40

countFosco Fair point maybe I should go boots ... and shoes

love these but def not suitable for Scotland in Feb

QuoadUltra · 25/08/2018 07:44

Look at Malone Soulier

SuperstarDJ · 25/08/2018 07:45

these are nice in pink

SuperstarDJ · 25/08/2018 07:49

As recommended by PP love

Paradyning · 25/08/2018 08:30

With potential budget why don't you buy a pair of boots to wear for the Kirk/outdoor bits and then a fabulous pair of heels for indoor.

FWIW those metallic choos would go well with tweed

WilburIsSomePig · 25/08/2018 13:33

I would LOVE to see your cape OP, any link?

Pikehau · 25/08/2018 21:19

Wow thanks all!! Loving the glitter idea absolutely amazing. Also the Maureen miles.

I’ve been out of the expensive shoe buying fame for a while after being pregnant and a mum for the past 7 years - youngest now 14mth and decided to think about me for a change so I appreciate all the help.

Will have a think about boots - have some nice Salvatore ferregamo boots from my past life that I’ll try on to get an idea

Similar to the below but no two are the same. Plus a shawl pin.

Hmmmm loving the thought of navy boots with that outfit. November weddings can be nippy as anything
