What’s with all the rainbow clothes?

I know what it represents but why (when I took dd shopping today) are shops just full or rainbow jumpers, shirts, trousers and shoes?

It’s hard trying to find my teenage daughter clothes, she’s not very fashionable and dresses more for comfort. Primark and newlook are about the only shops we could find clothes in but most of it was covered in rainbows, we have come home with a rainbow tracksuit and the most hidious rainbow cardigan.

I’m probably going to get flamed but I just don’t understand the obsession with sexuality and rainbows. Dd thinks by wearing rainbow clothes she is supporting her friends who are gay or trans.

Is it about Pride coming up? Dd is attending the Manchester one but hasn't bought rainbow style clothing as far as I'm aware.

I blame Fearne Cotton for my love of rainbow jumpers

@lovemusic I love retro styling too. Although I do cringe a bit that I used to love my rainbow belt, who else had one like this? GrinBlush

I had one before it was gay...

I like rainbow clothes. The LGBTQ+ thing hadn't occurred to me till this thread.

I was seeing them as cool 70's disco, which is a look I love.
