Your best warmest winter coats for school run

Any ideas on where to get a warm weatherproof coat for school run that won't break the bank?

Something toasty, warm, not too heavy to wear, at least vaguely if not very stylish (!?), waterproof? With a hood etc.

Another vote for Didrikson, I’m already panicking as I’ll be too pregnant to zip it up this year! I feel the cold terribly and this kept me toasty warm and dry in the last terrible winter.

I love my Barbour parka but it was expensive

I got a Seasalt last time - love it. Very waterproof. I've had it several years now, & it's not showing any particular signs of needing replacement. I wear it quite a lot during winter. I do need to wear a fleece jacket, & a woollen beanie underneath in the very coldest weather though, as I'm a very cold person, so I'm considering buying a warmer coat next time. I think if you're naturally quite warm, one of their winter raincoats over normal winter clothes would be a good buy.

I hadn't thought of looking in TK Maxx though.
