I am bravely or stupidly posting a photo (if it works) at a loss with my hair and I thought an objective audience might be the way to go.
About 8years ago I had a bad hair cut (looked like a chuckle brother) and have been growing it ever since.
My hair is dead straight, very fine but lots of it most of it in the Hoover and around the house!
I'm thinking either bright red keep the length or go for the chop, also touchy about my age and don't want to age myself with my hair !
Anyone have any suggestions ?
Thank you good people of mumsnet

I'd look on Pinterest or something similar for styles you like some layers might work. Depends if you want funky or classic.

I love the length you have it now. I'd maybe go a fraction darker (although hard to tell how dark you are now in a pic. You'll be the best judge.) and your fringe would look good heavier so there are no gaps. Little bit graduated at the sides so it's not straight across, keep it fairly blunt.

That's what I'd go for anyway. I think it looks glossy and really healthy how it is now and it'd be a shame to change that.

Some ideas for you OP

"Graduated at the sides/blunt" etc was about your fringe.

Your actual long lengths I'd keep with maybe some very long layers at the front but stress on the long.

I give up it's now posted only the short haircuts Grin

I definitely wouldn’t go as short as pp is suggesting - you have quite a high hairline which I think would look higher that short

The condition is lovely, lovely colour too, just needs some layers and create some volume around the crown

Thanks I like the ideas, so far oppinion is don't do anything drastic, aim for layers, sort fringe out. So glad I asked rather than risk another chuckle brother do (maybe that cut was wrong because of hairline, never considered to that before) cut in haste and all that.
