Winter wedding!

What to wear to a December wedding ?! It's close to the new year so will be cold and is a church venue followed by a marquee on a cricket pitch so warm clothes are a must.
I am a 5"6 brunette who wears a size 8 or a small. The brides theme is red roses so can't wear a deep red I suppose. Help me !!

Is the bride in deep red?
Whereabouts in the UK? If it's a church then a marquee you'll need a cosy and stylish coat, boots and a hat. Nice leather gloves.

How about a strong green if you're a brunette? It would complement the bridal party as well.

I'd be looking for something in green, burgundy or plum with a good coat and closed-toe shoes. I think the church might be chilly but the marquee really shouldn't be, they're heated and really the heating should be a priority in December!

Yes, a nice coat and hat for the church, a dress in one of those colours for the marquee.

Last December I wore a velvet dress with a fur cape type thing. I think it worked well with the cold weather.

Velvet is a lovely fabric for a winter celebration. It always feels luxurious.
