Cowboy boots

I've seen some beautiful cowboy boots on a USA website but I have no idea how I'd wear them without looking like Dolly Parton or Daisy Duke.
Any ideas?
I like my clothes practical but a bit mismatched and vintage. I love Kate Moss' style, along with Annie nightingale, Dawn O'Porter and Jackie O when I need to look smart.

I freakin' live in cowboy boots! Wear 'em with skinny jeans or dresses mostly, dressed up or dressed down. As long as they're not covered in rhinestones I think you'll be alright

I think I'm alongside Rat. I went to live in NYC in 1986, and the very first thing I bought was (red) cowboy boots because (as ExDH recommended) you need to walk with purpose when you're a tourist. You don't know where you are, or where you should be headed, and boots give purpose to your stride, even if you're lost. To which I would add, comfortably low heeled, a colour choice that clashes with your safe comfort zone but is tonally at the same intensity. And no rhinestones, ever.

I wear my cowboy boots with skinny jeans, under boot cut jeans or with shorts or skirts. I do also wear them for actual cowboy horse riding too though definitely no rhinestones.
