Footwear for cropped trousers

Hi everyone.
Just wondering if you knowledgeable people could help - what shoes (or should it be boots?), should I wear with these trousers (pic should be attached). They’re described as “cropped wide finishing above the ankle”. I’m not a big fan of high shoes/boots... please help! Thanks in advance!

I don't think they look cropped, just like they have shrunk in the wash...

I think cropped trousers need to have a slim leg really, otherwise they look a bit wrong.

Have you tried heels with them?

They look a bit long for you - please don't take that the wrong way.
In regards to footwear I think it depends on what you are wearing them for - for work I'd go for a heel and elongate the leg a bit, if for causal wear them trainers or pumps.

Burn the trousers if you can’t take them back. They look like something that Miriam Margolyes would wear. I agree that only slim cropped trousers ever look good. But never with slingbacks. I can’t explain why, they just always look terrible together.

Ballet pumps or flats

I think that length is ok in skinny and tight fitting trousers but in such wide leg it looks quite odd, like you’re just wearing the wrong size.

I like baggy cropped trews. I generallly wear brogues at work with them or v plain sandals .
