Morning

I am a 36 year old completely average height average woman but I have a flabby untoned sticky outy middle thanks to two C Sections in two years and no trousers or jeans fit me round the middle at all

I love jeans but I am also looking for some nice chino-y trousers.

At the moment I’m stuck in fraying harem pants as they have an elasticised waist - i just need everyday trousers that don’t look frumpy.

Tips?

High waisted everything for me!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 18/08/2018 11:47

This is the thing; previously high waist was the way to go for me, but the waists seem so narrow - I have a high waisted pair of jeans that are triple button and they just crush my guts

How about (whisper it) maternity trousers?

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 18/08/2018 12:17

Has it really come to this?!

Have you tried girlfriend jeans from Gap? My post baby saviours! I have mine on today worn with turnups, smart plain T, an arty scarf and tweedy fitted lapel jacket.

Jeggings from markies also fit me fine but you may have dressier standards than me!

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 18/08/2018 12:49

Dunno about dressier but I’ll give them a spin, it’s just that previous jeggings cut into my waist if they fit the leg and hip and if they fit the waist they look like baggy nightmares

Uniqlo sell something called 'Ezy jeans'. They're high waisted but elasticated with a cord to pull tighter. Unless you are planning on the tucked in look no one will know, if that matters to you. Also their workwear trousers have part elasticated waists, all very comfy.

The river island Amelia jeans are quite high waisted and lots of give in them. Yet I find them flattering and comfortable. (Not the best quality mind).

Fatted · 18/08/2018 15:12

I've not found it too much of an issue since having 2 c-sections. My waist pre kids was a lot narrower than my hips, so I'm guessing I've just balanced out now. Most of my trousers are stretchy and high waist, which seems to do the job.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 18/08/2018 15:28

You’re lucky @fatted I got away with it after CS1 but CS2 gave me a “megapouch”

After an afternoon of trying on jeggings I conclude that they are not for me.

Leggings? Yes
Jeans? Yes
A cross pollenation of the two? NO
