What do you wear when day drinking in the rain?

Going out for drinks and more drinks lunch next weekend, and as I don't trust the weather where I am, I don't know what to wear. It's seems too early for boots, but unless the sun shows its face, sandals seem silly. Likewise, no dress unless it's sunny, so probably skinny jeans and leather jacket.

Any other ideas/footwear suggestions??

Leather trainers, brogues, DM shoes

I am doing the same thing today and am wearing skinny jeans and suede converse with a nice top and am also taking a leather jacket for if it gets cold. If that feels too casual, how about a nice pair of ballet pumps or brogues like the PP suggested?

DontCallMeCharlotte · 18/08/2018 11:45

Definitely closed shoes - if your feet get cold you'll be miserable.

bitofaheadspin · 18/08/2018 18:56

I like ballet pump style, but I'm struggling to find any. Im coming round to the idea of brogues, and could wear them to work, but I'm not 100% sure of them.

I love my (sensible/boring Clarkes) brogues in navy and wear them with cropped or slim ankle grazers for work and skinny/straight leg rolled up jeans for weekend. I need another pair, so damn comfortable and I don't have to worry about cold/sore feet.

bitofaheadspin · 18/08/2018 23:08

Not brogues, but what about these?

I don't think a pair of ankle boots are ever out of place unless its scorching. That's what I would wear.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/08/2018 23:59

I would also wear chunky wedge sandals. You are not outside and even if you have to get from A-B you are lifted up from the ground so your feel would only get a little wet if wet at all.

Elledorado · 19/08/2018 10:53

Agree with dull. I'd wear ankle boots or wedge sandals if too warm for boots

BitOutOfPractice · 19/08/2018 10:54

Oh Crikey no, not those OP!

NewUserNameTime · 19/08/2018 10:56

Skinny jeans, ankle boots, nice top. & a trench coat

kenandbarbie · 19/08/2018 11:10

Pointy flats? I think they look a bit more modern than round toe ballet flats. ASOS do some called latch I think in lots of different colour.

I'd just wear boots.

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 19/08/2018 13:04

Pointed toe stiletto pumps would be the obvious choice if wearing skinny jeans and you don’t want to wear an open toed heeled sandal.

Cachailleacha · 19/08/2018 13:16

Ankle boots or plimsoll type trainers.
