Tattoo help?

I have an ugly birth mark on my arm. It’s an inch wide, irregularly shaped and very noticeable as it’s darker than my fair skin. It literally looks like a random country would on a world map with all the uneven sides and jagged edges, and random smaller ‘island like’ bits off to the side.

I want to get a tattoo to cover it up but my problem is that the birth mark is on my lower arm. If you imagine a straight line from my fingernails to my forearm, it’s located at the top of my lower arm, adjacent to my elbow and joint. So it’s a weird place to tattoo and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what would look right here? I haven’t come across anyone with that area tattooed unless it’s part of a sleeve

I like tattoos in unusual places.
I'd suggest you speak to your tattooist if choice, see what they think would work. Also try the MN tattoo board for more responses.

If your brave enough you could get a big one almost covering your forearm then wouldn't look so out of place

Thank you. I’m brave enough but it wouldn’t suit me! I love tattoos, but not so much on me haha. I wouldn’t suit a half sleeve at all. My fave tattoos (on me) are small, thin simple designs, I just wouldn’t pull it off. Also I want to get a somewhat prominent wrist wrap tattoo on the other arm, so would like this one to stay ‘clean’.

However I think I might get the birthmark lasered off instead!
