When you were early twenties did you know icons who had influenced fashion?

I’m having a mare trying to create this 80’s Madonna look for tomorrow. I’m in Oxford St and the youngsters look so fashionable and cool but, do they know who Madonna is never mind what we wore in the 80’s? No. I’m surely the fashion capital of the world. It was the same in Mac of all places. I asked if they could help me put an 80’s look together and I got passed around three people and ended up nearly crying. So, when these guys study fashion/art does history not come into it? Don’t they know that fashion is all influenced by what went on before? When I was 18 we were in the second hand shops every week customising our outfits for that night.

I’m really anxious now I’m a size 14 and can’t find a fish net tshirt anywhere!!

Claire’s Accessories had neon stuff a few years ago when I went to an 80s party. Including nail varnish.

Looking good so far! Wear string vest over bra, chop up the black T shirt a bit and wear it over the top. That way you can whip it off later on in the evening, should you feel so inclined!

Ive literally got two hours then I need to go back to bed. I should beable to get nail varnish from somewhere surely? I have bright make up I was going for those colours

Oh perfect! Dont worry about the string vest, maybe just try a brightly coloured strappy vest under the black one and chop the black one so its a crop top.

Try superdrug for nail varnish. The barry m or nails inc type brands will have bright colours that will be a good sub for neon.

But also, you prob dont need anything else as you pretty much got the look so just get out there and strike a pose sorry not sorry
